Women’s Pro Volleyball: Meet the San Diego Mojo

Looking for something fun, affordable, and exciting to do with the whole family this spring? You’ve got to check out the San Diego Mojo, our city’s very own Major League Volleyball team and the only one in the entire state of California! 

We’re in our third season, and I can tell you firsthand, the energy at a Mojo match is electric! We play at Viejas Arena on the SDSU campus, and from the moment the first serve goes up, you’re locked in. The rallies are wild, the players are flying across the court, and the atmosphere feels more like a concert than a sporting event (in the best way possible). 

Our roster is loaded with incredible athletes, including Shara Venegas from Puerto Rico and local star Morgan Lewis from Carlsbad. Leading the charge is our amazing Head Coach Alisha Glass-Childress, an Olympic Bronze Medalist for Team USA and a four-time NCAA National Champion. She’s an incredible role model and brings a championship mindset to everything we do. 

On top of all the on-court action, Mojo matches are packed with music, dance breaks, and lights that make it a full entertainment experience. It’s the perfect outing for families, friend groups, or even a date night. 

Our 2026 season is in full swing with 9 home games left. Tickets start at $19, with free admission for kids 5 and under, making it one of the most affordable pro sports events in town. You can attend a single match or build your own ticket plan that fits your schedule.
