Governance
Our mission is to “make University Heights a great place to live by building connections and improving our community.”
To accomplish that mission through events, publications, and building our infrastructure, we raise money from individuals through memberships and from businesses through advertisers and sponsorships. We treat our donors’ contributions with great care, managing expenses with thought and transparency. Our board meetings are held in public, and all members are welcome to attend. As part of our commitment to total transparency, we publish our agendas and minutes, as well as a complete annual report showing income and expenses.
Board Meetings
Executive Board Meetings are where your board of directors, including elected officers and committee and team leads, meet to plan, strategize, and ensure the workings of UHCA. Board meetings follow an agenda, which will normally be published 72 hours ahead of the meeting, and minutes will be published after the following meeting when they are approved.
Annual Reports
Starting with our fiscal 2023-2024, UHCA produces a comprehensive annual report to our members, part of the UHCA board’s commitment to openness and transparency. This report summarizes the organization’s activities and accomplishments for the prior fiscal year and includes detailed income, expenses, balance sheet, details on major expenditures, and a comparison to prior years including explanatory notes.
