Lights in the Heights Bike Ride
Join us for the fourth annual University Heights Lights in the Heights Tour on Sunday, December 14th at 5:30 PM. Tour the festive holiday lights our neighbors put up in University Heights on foot (walking), running, or on bike.
Meet at Trolley Barn Park to tour holiday light contestants’ homes and vote online for the best, most creative, and wackiest lights of the season. Wear your most festive holiday outfits, dress warmly, and equip your bike/person with holiday lights + spirit! Jingle bells, holiday tunes, and glow sticks will be provided.
The tour, whether walking, running, or biking, is open to all ages and all skill levels (including furry friends in baskets!). The route will be approximately 3-4 miles long and generally takes between 1-1.5 hours to complete. The tour will feature a hot cocoa stop midway through at Santa’s Workshop. Be sure to dress warmly and light up your bikes/clothing/hats with festive lights.
Those wanting to ride bikes will join UHCA & Nice-n-Easy Bike Club as the first group from the park. Those interested in running the route will join Mission Hills Run Club & Sunday Runday Club in the second group to leave from the park. And those who would like to walk or run/walk the route will join UHCA’s walking lead to leave the park in the third group. Please register for the group you’d like to join below so that we can gather an accurate headcount per group.
Don’t have a bike or can’t join us on the ride for whatever reason? Join in the fun by cheering us on outside of your festively decorated home! We will be touring the neighborhood from 5:45 - 7:15 PM moving west, then south, then looping back to Trolley Barn Park from the east.
Join us after the tour at Cheer’s for discounted drinks, to chat about your favorite houses, and vote online for your favorites.

UH Garden Club - Picklin' Party
You are cordially invited to the University Heights Garden Club's Picklin' Party! Learn all about how to pickle and ferment your produce to make it last longer and improve gut biome health. Bring your garden grown veggies or pick up some from the grocery store! Bring 8oz or 16oz sanitized jars + lids with you and we will provide the rest.

Join us for a featured film screened in the park, decided on by the community.
Come in your best witchy outfits and enjoy this fun, fall inspired movie in the park.
Participate in our baked goods bake-off challenge, cozy up with one of our UHCA blankets, purchase concessions, or bring your own picnic!
University Heights Puzzle Swap at the Library
Join us at the University Heights Library for a biannual puzzle swap event! Bring one or multiple puzzles to the library, meet up with fellow puzzlers, and swap with others for a new-to-you puzzle. The swap will be one-to-one (swap one puzzle for one puzzle).
Hang around to meet new fellow puzzler friends, drink tea, and puzzle for a bit on the communal puzzle.

UHCA Summer Mixer
Come meet new neighbors and connect with old friends at our annual summertime neighborhood mixer. Happy hour pricing on drinks with pizzas donated by our generous sponsors.
UH Community Yard Sale & Recycling Event
Mark your calendars for the UH Community Yard Sale happening on Saturday June 6th! This is the perfect opportunity to declutter your home and make some extra cash.

SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day
Join San Diego County in getting on bikes for SANDAG's annual Bike Anywhere Day! UHCA & University Heights Library will be co-hosting a Pit Stop in front of the library for participants to stop by on their way to work, school, errands, etc. to grab waters, snacks, a free t-shirt, and other swag.

UH Party on Park 2026
Bring your friends and meet new neighbors at the biggest party of the year in University Heights! Enjoy bites & drinks at participating restaurants, shop various vendor tables, listen to live music, and have a great time on Park Blvd! Purchase your wristband ASAP as these run out.
**CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN ** University Heights Bike Tune-Up Clinic
Join us in Old Trolley Barn Park on Saturday, April 19th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM with your bike (kids bikes also welcome!) to get some assistance with patches, changing tubes/tires, cleaning off rust from chains, troubleshooting brake issues, and the like. Swing by anytime during the clinic hours to receive assistance with your bike, plus visit with some local bike organizations who will be giving away cycling related freebies.
University Heights St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in University Heights this year with fellow neighbors and friends! Join us for an UH pub crawl that includes seven participating bars providing attendees discounts on drinks and food, as well as themed snacks, swag, beaded necklaces, temporary clover tattoos, and more.
