Vermont Street Bridge Crew Keeps UH Clean and Welcoming

Have you seen our new signs?

Although UHCA’s Trash Angels and B-Team volunteers have been cleaning and maintaining the Vermont St. Bridge for years, we’re now letting everyone know that fact with the recently installed signs.

A special Thank You goes to Mary Jo Barr, DeJuan Benford, Robert Dowell, Rod Girvin, Andy Lange, Deborah Morrison, and T. O’Rourke, for emptying the trash can on the north side, removing graffiti, and leaf-blowing the deck every week. UHCA also wants to thank John Ross, Dawn Sassi, and Benson Wong for keeping the area under the bridge abutments free of trash and debris. B-Team volunteers also power-wash the bridge and install the Holiday Lights every year.

These are just some of the many ways your neighbors have been volunteering to make University Heights such a special place to live. If you are interested in volunteering, contact us at volunteer@uhsd.org.
