UHCA Board Updates

The UHCA Board recently held a full-day strategy session to finalize our planning for 2026. In addition to working on further updates to our communication plans, including updating our mission and values, we also started a process to bring proposed updates to our bylaws to the membership meeting in October, creating a member’s only benefit and perks program, updating our board composition and goals, and more.

This was also our January regular board meeting, and as part of our regular business, the board unanimously voted to welcome Lea Pace as a new board member focusing on business outreach. Pace owns Prospera Internal Medicine & Aesthetics located at 4452 Park Blvd. Suite 306 and has been an active UHCA business member and advertiser in UH News for several years.

Pace is both a business owner and medical practitioner and has been a proud advocate for UH small businesses. We are thrilled to have someone with her passion and expertise on our board to help us help our local UH businesses!

At the same time, the board regretfully accepted the resignation of Bill Ellig, who decided to step back from serving on multiple boards and focus on Uptown Community Planning Group (UCPG) as the elected UHCA representative. We thank Bill for his many contributions around land use issues and helping build a strong relationship with both the UCPG and North Park Planning Committee. We look forward to his continued involvement and partnership with UH planning issues.
