New 8-Story Housing Development Planned for El Cajon & Alabama

A new “Complete Communities” development is underway at the corner of El Cajon Blvd and Alabama St next to Boulevard Fitness. The existing commercial building which was used by the BLVD building as a community events space “The BLVD Court” was demolished in March, and permits/plans are pending ministerial approval for an 8-story, 112-unit building with “at grade parking” (which when viewed with the building plan appears to mean just a few spots). This new development will join other large-scale projects nearby: The BLVD (165 units, ECB @ Florida), Winslow UH (398 units, Park @ ECB), Nash (190 units, Park @ Polk), and the 195-unit project reported on here last month at Park @ Lincoln.
