Andy is a native San Diegan, and resident of University Heights where he and his wife have lived since 1980. He is an active volunteer with the Trash Angels and for nearly 10 years has been a member of a small group of volunteers who do weekly cleanups along Washington St., the 163 on- and off-ramps, and the Vermont St. Bridge. Andy also volunteers with the San Diego River Park Foundation.
His extensive business experience spans twenty years, during which he successfully owned and managed three businesses - a deli, and two shipping companies that handled everything from postcards to heavy freight. He was also the Founder and President of the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Retail Shipping Centers, a trade organization. Andy also served on the national advisory board for the same group.
“With my business experience,” Andy said, “I can provide leadership and growth, so we can continue to promote UHCA, and attract new members from our diverse community.”
