Roosevelt IB Exposition 2026 Showcases Student Music, Art, and Theatre

Each year in the spring, Roosevelt International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle School hosts an amazing exposition open to students, families, prospective students, faculty, administrators, and neighbors. It is a big party, and this year might have been the best one yet!

This year’s IB Exposition (IBEX) featured live musical and theater performances by students from the Roosevelt Orchestra, Young Lions, Velvet Roses After School Rock Band, and the upcoming theatre production of “Into the Woods & More.”

Students showcased their media art, film, animation, visual art, design, digital music, and inquiry projects.

A large disco ball in the middle of the library created a celebratory vibe!

The Roofriends Foundation prepped, cooked, and served tacos (al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada) and quesadillas, with all proceeds going to support student programming. There was even an ice cream truck from Handel’s. The lines were long, and the wait was worth it.

San Diego High School teachers and coaches were there too! SDHS students presented their premier weightlifting curriculum, with students demonstrating their physical powers.

Many Roosevelt alumni attended and mingled with their former teachers and school administrators. Prospective students—as young as third grade—also got a glimpse of their future campus and imagined themselves as junior high schoolers.

There were so many happy parents who enjoyed seeing each other and experiencing their kids’ vibrant and amazing school community.
