Lights in the Heights Tour: Annual Bike, Walk & Run Event Returns December 14

Join us for the fourth annual Lights in the Heights Tour on Sunday, Dec. 14th, at 5:30 p.m. to view the festive holiday lights in our neighborhood.

We will meet at Trolley Barn Park to tour holiday light contestants’ homes and vote online for the best, most creative, and wackiest lights of the season. Wear your festive holiday outfits and equip your bike/person with holiday lights and spirit! Jingle bells, holiday tunes, and glow sticks will be provided.

The tour, whether walking, running, or biking, is open to all ages and skill levels (including furry friends in baskets). The route will be approximately 3-4 miles long and generally takes 1-1.5 hours to complete. The tour will feature a hot cocoa stop midway at Santa’s Workshop. Be sure to dress for the weather.

Participants on bikes will join UHCA and the Nice-n-Easy Bike Club in the first group to leave from the park. Those interested in running the route will join the Mission Hills and Sunday Runday run clubs in the second group. And those who would like to walk or run/walk the route will join UHCA’s Stephanie Gomez walking in the third group. Please register for the group you’d like to join at the link below so that we can gather an accurate headcount.

Don’t have a bike or can’t join us on the ride for whatever reason? Join the fun by cheering us on outside of your festively decorated home! We will be touring the neighborhood from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. moving west, then south, then looping back to Trolley Barn Park from the east.

After the tour, come to Cheers for discounted drinks, to chat about your favorite houses, and vote online for your favorites.

A HUGE thank you to MJ’s Cyclery for sponsoring this fun event!
