Best of San Diego Award Spotlight: Prospera

Prospera Internal Medicine & Aesthetics Medical Center, Inc., a boutique medical practice in University Heights founded by Lea Pace, PA-C, has just been named Best Hormone and Anti-Aging Clinic in San Diego Magazine’s Best of San Diego awards.

“We are hugely grateful, and honestly a little surprised. We’re in our third year of business. Winning the award is very humbling. With our patients, you know, we’re like a small boutique practice, but we have very close relationships with our patients, we love them and they love us. So, I’m very grateful, super humbled,” shared Lea Pace, owner and medical practicioner.

“My business is prosperous internal medicine and aesthetics. We specialize in primary care, concierge internal medicine, and then we have our most popular services: our hormone therapies, GLP, weight loss, and then we do medical aesthetics, injectables like neurotoxin like Botox and dermal fillers, and then we have a plethora of different lasers and energy-based devices too, for skin,” said Pace, walking through the full range of services that keep her patients coming back.

For Lea, high-quality care matters more than ever, especially for the women patients she serves. Women’s healthcare, she believes, is still a deeply flawed and vulnerable space, which is exactly why medical spas and women-centered practices that prioritize quality, compassionate care deserve a special nod.

Since winning the award, Prospera has launched a lecture series — both around San Diego and online — titled “Midlife Women Aging Well,” with Pace traveling to different venues to give talks on women’s hormonal health.

Pace’s ambitions don’t stop there. “One future goal we have is to launch free community-based laser tattoo removal program for former gang members and victims of sex trafficking. Step one is fundraising for the laser to provide this service,” she enthused.
